MRED brokerages have the unique opportunity to actually own their MLS. While most MLSs around the country are solely owned by REALTOR® Associations, MRED is proud to be brokerage-owned and controlled.

Associations do still hold an important ownership aspect, but MRED’s distinctive model allows the MLS to cater to the wants and needs of those who use it the most: brokers!

Preferred Unit Owners have the opportunity to run for and elect 13 of the 15 voting seats on the MRED Board of Managers, they attend and vote at our Preferred Unit Owner meetings, co-create MRED’s annual Strategic Plan, and receive exclusive early access to new products and services.

Recent updates to the National Association of REALTORS’ MLS policies allow brokers to participate in multiple MLSs, while the broker’s agents pay dues only to the MLS(s) they wish to access.

This gives agents the opportunity to subscribe to any of the MLSs in which their broker participates. You can choose the MLS that works for you with the best system, support, and services.
